“Marie Kondo has inspired many to declutter their lives, whether it’s through her writing or her wildly popular Netflix series. Her KonMari method can also be applied to all those personal and financial documents that are scattered around your home. Steuer has created this handy guide to keep track of it all. The same principles can be applied to electronic documents, which can be placed into folders you can create on your computer.”

I’m a teacher with a sense of humor.
I love helping others makes sense of the financial world in a way that is easy to understand. I get that we all don’t speak insurance-ese or financial-ese. As a financial guy with a knack for writing, my goal is to guide you through the insurance and financial worlds using language and laughs that everyone could understand. As a result, my first book, Questions, and Answers on Life Insurance was born in 2004 and opened up a new path for financial literacy.
Since then, book writing has led to many media interviews, guest articles, and the launch of the Insurance Literacy Movement, and then GET READY! Financial Principles, designed to protect your financial interests.
I love learning.
The world of finances and insurance is always changing, i.e.: new president = new health care. Stick with me and I’ll keep you on top of the financial and insurance worlds. Being financially and insurance organized was a must when my young son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a few years ago. I learned how to access resources for my son. Today, I am really excited to share all of that with you in the “Get Ready!: A Step-By-Step Guide to Maintaining Your Financial First Aid Kit” so you can be prepared and empowered.
When I’m not working on Get Ready, you might find me cheering on the Warriors with the latest IPA, playing basketball with my friends, enjoying some Grateful Dead tunes, or reading a great mystery or history book. My greatest joy is being Cheryl’s husband and Avery’s dad.
My goal is to always treat you with respect and to help guide you to make the best insurance-related decisions for your needs. Running a business with integrity is important to me.
